WiseSlip

For general contractors

The paperwork workflow built for construction and remodeling jobs.

A build doesn't run on one invoice - it runs on a bid, milestone payments as work progresses, material orders, and often a subcontractor agreement or two. WiseSlip connects all of it.

Frequently asked questions

How do I bill for a job with milestone or progress payments?
Create a separate invoice for each milestone (e.g. "Framing complete - 30% due"), itemizing the labor and materials for that phase. WiseSlip doesn't track a running project balance across invoices, so keep milestone amounts clear in each invoice's line items or notes.
Do I need a written agreement with my subcontractors?
Strongly recommended - it protects both sides on scope, payment terms, and liability if something goes wrong on site. WiseSlip's Independent Contractor Agreement template covers the standard clauses, but it's a general starting point, not legal advice - have an attorney review it before use.
Can I track material costs separately from labor?
Yes - itemize materials as their own line items on an invoice, or use a Purchase Order to formally order materials from a vendor before the job starts.
How do I bid on a larger renovation or build?
Use the Business Proposal template for a formal bid with a clear scope, timeline, and price - it reads more professionally to a homeowner or commercial client than an ad-hoc quote.
