Job costing: jobs, cost codes, and purchase orders
Track budget vs. actual for a project, not just a single invoice.
Setting up a job
Create a job from your dashboard with a name, an optional client, and an overall budget. Add cost codes underneath it to break that budget into categories (materials, labor, permits, whatever fits your business).
Tagging documents to a job
Any invoice, quote, or purchase order you build can be tagged to a job and cost code from the job picker in the builder. The job's detail page then shows you real budget-vs-actual, using your purchase orders as the "approved" amount and your invoices as the "actual" amount.
